*APTN is holding a flag design competition for an Aboriginal Day flag.   They are searching for a design that "best reflects the essence of National Aboriginal Solidarity Day."   The winning design will be transferred to flag form and raised on the rooftop of the APTN headquarters during festivities on June 21, 2007.   Prize includes $250 and trip to Winnipeg for the Solidarity Day.   Entries are due by midnight on May 25, 2007.   For more information, see:

*The 17 th edition of the "First Peoples' Festival" entitled "Presence Autochtone" will take place in Montreal between June 10 th and June 21 st 2007.   The festival grounds will be located at Place Emilie-Gamelin - corner of Berri and St-Catherine (Berri-UQAM Metro).   More info to come that will be posted on the festival website:
